Fall Trends 2018

Women fall trends. You are probably thinking, "Yes Angela, we already know these are trendy pieces that I already own and have seen before". This fall season, the trends have not changed like last year. We are seeing a lot of different prints, and colors. The pieces that I have chosen above are items that you either have seen EVERYWHERE. But since its fashionable, they are also timeless pieces that you can wear over and over again for the next couple of years.
Neon: Neon has been everything this A/W runway this season. We are seeing different bright colors from Gucci and other designers. The 80's are back baby! I personally would love to own a neon-colored turtleneck because I am completely obsessed with the way that it is a versatile item for the winter season. Not only does it keep you warm, but it also makes the outfit more stylish. I usually pair my turtlenecks with my joggers and jeans depending on what I am doing for the day. But turtlenecks are such a timeless piece, that by getting a neon-colored item gives the outfit a pop of color in the dull weather.
Puffer Jackets: Puffer jackers, again, we all saw it everywhere last year on the runways. The most popular styles that I have seen are the cropped puffer jackets. The long puffer jackets are great, fashionable, and will definitely keep you warm over the summer. But, it does not show the whole entire look. The cropped jacket gives the outfit a street-style look. Wearing a bright colored puffer jacket is also popular for the winter and spring season because it gives the outfit more colors and makes it different than wearing the same monochrome palate.
Dad Sneakers: I AM OBSESSED. I truly love the dad sneaker trend, and I tried oh so hard to stay away from this trend. The dad sneakers make any look more casual and more sporty. Pairing dad sneakers with a blazer make the business look more fun and trendy. I imagine every new-yorker who is into fashion, paring their dad sneakers look with a pair of jeans or work pants with their blazers. The sneakers also have given the look of an off-duty model vibe. We have come far from white sneakers to Stan Smiths, and now to trendy dad sneakers.
Animal Print: The Cheetah print has been around for so long. Many people around me have an animal print coat, and you can literally grab one from Forever21 or Charlotte Russe to get that bougie on a budget look. I am loving any cheetah print blouse personally, I feel that it makes the outfit look more put together, you can definitely wear it as a day to night look. But again, any animal print looks good, but the cheetah print is the one that I've been seeing EVERYWHERE
Blazers:  Last but not lease, blazers. Yes, they also have been around everywhere. But I have loved blazers ever since I was in the 8th grade. I am loving the blazer look with the bicycle shorts or just with a pair of dad shoes. I love the business look crossover with the casual look. I love how the blazer makes any occasion or attire more business-casual and be paired with anything to cover yourself. Since its gonna be a chilly fall (not yet at least...I'm hoping) wearing a blazer is perfect to keep yourself warm for this autumn.

Dorm Life

Dorm life. Am I right. Living in the dorms can be a bit expensive but you honestly get used to it. I currently live on campus, and for the past 3 years in college, I can tell you that things do change every year. This year, I can definitely say that I have my life together for this semester, and I am focusing on my life and trying to do better in school this year. For the past 2 years, I have literally done nothing but party hard in Baltimore. Now, as a junior and about to graduate next year, I have to learn how to become an adult and take things seriously. Last year, when I was a sophomore, I felt like there was so much pressure around me that I felt like I had to let go of everything. I was in school, partying, and working all at the same time, and didn't realize that it was taking a toll on my grades and my health. This year, learning from my mistakes, I am just focusing on school and work, as it should be. I feel that this school year, I can see and feel the positive outlook on my goals. Anyways, every item in my room has been from freshmen year and I have been re-using everything, moving things around to keep the theme of my room looking "fresh". I have always believed in re-using and re-purposing your items. I have D-I-Y'd everything in my dorm and bought some stuff from thrift stores as well. Every year, I get inspired by other people's dorms that I get to visit and the city of Baltimore. Every year I get to face new types of love, people, and experiences. Some can be good and some can be bad, but in the end, it's all part of growing up. I hope that everyone keeps their head up for this coming school year and believe in themselves that they can ABSOLUTELY get to graduation.

Beauty Essentials for September

For this month, I have been trying to get that flawless natural look, and these items have definitely helped me out so far. Fenty Beauty by Rihanna has been killing the game on the makeup scene, and I have been loving every product, especially the Killa Wat highlighter. For my birthday, I was gifted the Fenty Glow, Gloss Bomb from the collection and Too Faced, Primed and Peachy. I usually wear matte lippies, but this has to be one of my favorite glosses because it goes on smoothly without having the stickiness feeling. It is an item that I wear for the mornings to go to class and have a little nightly fun in town with the girls. The Too Faced primer is also another holy grail item that I have been using a lot lately. It genuinely carries the scent of peaches and it goes on wonderfully. The primer comes with a colling matte that leaves the skin perfectly primed. When I use this, all of my pores have definitely gone away and helps to put on foundation quite easily. Last but not least, my Walk on Air by Kate Spade. Usually, I am a HUGE fan of Tory Burch's fragrances, but this Kate Spade has got me hooked. The fragrance carries notes such as Linden Blossom, Maiden's Hair Fern, Calabrese Bergamot, Solomon's Seal, Tunisian Neroli, Lily Of The Valley, Magnolia Grandiflora, Egyptian Jasmine, Narcissus Absolute and many more! It sure has a flowery scent that is potent but it is also very light to wear.  You would only need at least two spritzes of the perfume and it'll last you all day! As Fall is coming and the weather is going to start getting cold, Ill most likely to have more products as essentials to protect my skin from the cold.
Let me know what your top 3 essentials are for this Fall!

Order and Chaos

Hey guys!
This past weekend, my roomie and I went to this amazing coffee shop near my university. I had ordered the waffle with Nutella placed all around the waffle. I also ordered the summer spritz which I kid you not, tasted like La Croix. The Summer Spritz did have a bubbly flavor which came with a sour bitter taste to it topped with raspberry for the look of the drink. After lounging at the coffee shop, my roomie and I decided to take some pictures around the area, since it was a beautiful day. We finished the day off having a mini-date at McDonald's. Even though it's been the first 3 weeks of school, it has been quite tough to balance the school life and the work life. Overall, this little treat was worth every penny for the view of the Inner Harbor and spending the time with my roommate getting to know her better :)

2018

2017 was a hectic year. It was the ending of my freshmen year and the beginning of my sophomore year. I have learned many things such as heartbreaks and how to deal with them easily and how to be happy on my own terms. For heartbreaks, I have learned that everything will be ok in the end. I know it is a cliche thing to say "time heals everything" but I learned that it's completely true. I'm not lying, it's an amazing thing when you start to realize it. Once you finally to feel it and start to realize that the feelings that you had once for someone you that liked oh so much, you start to understand that it works for everyone you'll start to like. When I started to open up to my friends in college and expand my friend group, I started to learn life lessons and the value of friendship. Another lesson that I have learned in 2017 was that you don't have to go out every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to have a fun time. It is usually the same the bars with the same people you'll see and nothing new ever happens (at least that what usually happens to me and my school). I have been working trying to work on my photography and blog skills that I have not really hope this past year. But hopefully 2018 I can improve my skills and lose a couple of pounds. I pray that 2018 is the year that I can learn more and obtain more. I pray that everything is bright in my future and to my readers as well. Happy 2k18!
